O Lord our God, we come before this day to
honor our mothers.
For the times you wiped our tears and
celebrated our successes we thank you.
For those mothers and grandmothers who
are no longer with us we miss you.
For those who have lost a child or are unable
to bear children, we mourn with you.
For those who have adopted us as mothers,
grandmothers, godmothers, aunts and
sisters, we cherish that gift.
For all women and the joy and wonder you
bring to the world, we honor you.
