Prayer for January 24, 2021

O Lord our God, We have incredible hope for what is ahead of us.  We are in the midst of a storm, and yet there is great opportunity for great things to happen.  Help us to see beyond the challenges of this time and find the amazing things that are happening right now.  Help us to join with those who are giving so much of themselves to others and find ways to lift people up.  May we recognize the opportunities you put before us to care for one another and respond in ways that express your love.  May we give of ourselves in such a way that it is a joyful response to all you have done for us.  Give us the strength of character to respond to anger and hate with love and compassion.  And may we be instruments of your grace.  Amen.
