Prayer for February 18, 2021

This is a new day O Lord, may I be ready for what is before me.  Help me to look for ways to serve those around me.  Be with those who are struggling today and if I am given the chance to help those people may I act upon those opportunities.  If I am to simply listen, help me to do that fully and be present to those I spend time with today.  Help me to respond to those around me in ways that show I truly care for them.  Let me be patient when it is needed and not be tempted by anxiety or frustration when things do not go my way.  Instead, let me find peace and comfort knowing that nothing is so important that I can’t take a couple minutes to simply be present to the moment I find myself.  All this I ask in your most Holy Name.  Amen.
