Prayer for March 15, 2021

Creator God, may I see this day through the eyes of a child.  Let me have the excitement to learn new things that only a child seems to enjoy fully.  Allow me to experience the innocence that allows them to experience a level of hope and joy that we tend to lose as we get older.  Let me sing songs without caring about the tune or the words.  May I care only about the moment today and not care about what is next.  Give me the ability to see the possible and dream about the impossible in a way that only a child seems able to do well.  May I be excited about the new people I meet and be free of the prejudices that seem to grow as we get older.  Let me see the stranger as a friend I have yet to meet.  All this we ask in the name of the God who calls us to love our neighbor.  Amen.
