Prayer for August 9, 2021

Today O God, so many people are beginning school or about to begin this next school year.  Like last year we are beginning with COVID still hanging over us.  Help us to make the right decisions as to how to respond.  May our actions protect the students, their families, teachers and staff.  Give us an awareness to know when it is time for us to make tough decisions and the judgment to know when our own actions affect others.  May all our actions be focused on treating the wider world as beloved.  May your peace which passes understanding fill us now and always. Amen.
