On this day in 1947 Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier.
O God who called us to do great things, help us to continue to dream. May we find ways to improve others lives. Give us the imagination and drive to do the next great thing that will help us to grow. May we attempt to make the world better for those who are struggling. May we find new ways to repair any damage we make to your creation and still have the passion for exploration and expanding our possibilities. May our Heroes of this age have the same drive and inquisitiveness of those that have gone before. Fill us with your Spirit as we live each day and let us work toward sharing your love in all we do. Amen
