Prayer for October 16, 2021

May our compassion for others always be greater than our desire for our own success, Loving God.  Make us aware when we take the chance of breaking someone down in our attempts to get what we want.  Help us to find ways that encourage others on our way to fulfilling our desires and may be best for us.  When we see injustice or hatred presenting themselves in front of us, may we have the strength of character to stand up for what is right.  May our actions this day and every day be expressed through how we love those with whom we interact and want them to know your saving grace.  All this we ask in the name of the God who knows that we can accomplish greater things.  Amen.
