Prayer for December 1, 2021

May you guide us this day and everyday Loving God. Help us when we are faced with challenges to respond with love and patience. May we listen fully and be completely present to those around us, showing them the attention we hope they give us. Help us to be aware of the subtle communication cues that may help us even more fully understand what people are trying to say. May we, in what we say, not be frustrated when people don’t completely understand us, and instead be willing to take the time and energy to attempt to find new ways to explain ourselves. May we not be anxious in times of tension that often arise during the holiday season. It is in your Holy Name we pray. Amen
