Prayer for December 18. 2021

Help us to be thankful this day, O God. We are often unaware of all the many blessings we receive and miss all the blessings we have been given. May the wonder of the sunrise with its many colors remind us of the opportunity of each new day. If we see the amazing gift of fog with its many mysteries, let us relish in the fantastic feeling of discovery that it provides. If we are given rain or snow, help us to see the blessing of being inside warm and comfortable enjoying the comfort that somehow comes during those times. If we are lucky enough to have a day that lets us be outside and enjoying your creation, may we live it fully and not be distracted by the things that would take us away from the gift of this day. Help us Loving God to life this day as the gift it is. Amen
