Prayer for December 22, 2021

Thank you God for this new day. Help us as we continue the journey you have set before us to live as you would have us, treating those we meet as beloved children of God. May we not be overwhelmed by the stress that often accompanies this season. Help us to be fully present to and responsive to those around us who have needs that we can provide. May those who are struggling find love, compassion and the comfort they need. Help those who are alone and hurting to find support and company. Give us an awareness of the times when we need to be your presence to others in this season where we celebrate the birth of Christ. All this we ask in your Holy Name. Amen
