Prayer for December 27, 2021

Thank you God for each new day. We are grateful for those who are called to careers of service. The medical, public safety, teachers and all other occupations of service are often taken for granted. May we go out of our way to recognize those who make our lives safe and comfortable. May we honor them knowing that there are people who have far less noble professions that are compensated more than they deserve. Let us look up to those people who care more about others than themselves and strive to not only support that ministry but journey along side them when we can. Help us to strive for a world that values love for one another over the competitive expectations that often over-ride how you would have us live. May your Spirit guide us this day and always. Amen
