Prayer for February 21, 2022

Help us, O God, to treat others as beloved children of God. There are times when we have the opportunity to respond to people who are out to hurt us with similar actions, and you call us to not only turn the other cheek, but to love those who would hurt us. May we be given the strength to do that when our instinct is to give them back more pain that we are feeling. Allow us the peace that comes from giving the response up to you. May you confirm in us the knowledge that your spirit is guiding us through tough times. All this we ask in your name O God. Amen
