Prayer for June 24, 2022

Everyday O God, there are families that are crushed by the reality of suicide. Please help us to be present enough to help those who are in so much pain or fear that taking their life seems the only avenue. Let those who are in need of hope find the love and support they need to make it beyond the challenges they are facing. For those who are suffering through the loss of someone they love, may they also find us willing to and able to give them the compassion and empathy they need to continue on after such a loss. Help us to find ways to notice and be fully present to those around us in hopes that we can prevent losing someone we love. Give those without hope someone who can help them know that they are loved and will be missed. May we love one another so fully that those we love never feel such desperation. All this we ask in your name. Amen.
