Prayer for September 28, 2022

Sometimes the storms in our lives give us incredible gifts, O God who forms and guides us. We are forced to look at the world and reevaluate our priorities in times of stress. They often give us the gift of being cooped up with those we love without the distraction of all that the modern world has to offer. We see what is important and necessary and what truly is luxury. Help us to remember this feeling when our distracting and self indulgent world comes back to tempt us following the storms of our lives and let us truly see the opportunities before us. Let us see the way that we band together in times of community challenges and see the possibilities of what we can accomplish when those challenges are lessened. Bless and protect us now and always. Amen
