Prayer for November 20, 2022

Be with us this day, Forgiving God, as we end the church year and begin to prepare to once again celebrate the story of your desire to be in covenant with us. May we remember each example of the times when you have reached out to us throughout scripture. May we respond to the ultimate gift you gave us on that Cross and know that we like the thief next to him understand our sins have kept us from you. Let us admit our transgressions and take responsibility for them. May our lives be transformed by your grace and may we spend our lives working to become our part of the body of Christ sharing your love to our world in thought word and deed. Give us the strength to follow the path you have set before us. All this we ask in your most Holy Name. Amen
