Prayer for December 5, 2022

In a season where we often look forward, may we O God, take the time to experience the present. Let us look at those around us and see them fully. May we celebrate their unique beauty and the gift that they are in our lives. Help us to acknowledge the gifts they have and encourage them to exercise those gifts. Let us relish in the time we get to spend with those we love and know that each moment is a gift. May we be so fully in the present that others feel our joy, wonder and love. May this and every day be one where we hope for future opportunities but live in the moment. May your spirit fill us this and every day. Amen
