Prayer for December 17, 2022

Today, O God, is a day filled with championships. In our family playing volleyball and soccer were passions, and watching football a way of life. As we watch the High School where Heather teaches play in the national football championship game in Las Vegas, the NCAA National Volleyball Championship game, and the World Cup final may we celebrate the wonder of competition, the hard work of practice, and the amazing feeling when teamwork really works well. Let those competing feel the excitement of their fans, the joy of playing at the highest levels of their sport and be grateful for the athletic gifts they enjoy. May you be with the athletes, coaches, families and fans as this day of championships unfolds and bless us all now and always. Amen
