Prayer for February 7, 2023

We pray for all who are suffering, Most Holy God. We especially ask for your healing presence to those who are suffering after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Many of those people were already suffering through the horror of civil war and homelessness. May they as a region find the peace that seems so challenging for them to maintain. Let your love infuse them as they see the priority of caring for one another over the need to be in power. We also ask that you protect those in Ukraine who are also suffering from the ravages of war. May the hearts of those who are instigating war be transformed and peace prevail. May the power of love overcome the hate that seems to be growing in the world. All this we ask in your name, O God. Amen
